Who we are

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us through the forms on this site:

• Clothing requests: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, delivery postcode and any notes, plus the items, sizes, colours and names you’d like on the back.
• Contact form: your name, email address, what your message is about, your message, and optionally your phone number and where you’re based.

If you use the “I need someone to talk to” option, you may choose to tell us about your own or a family member’s health, including ADHD or autism. This is sensitive information. Only share what you’re comfortable with. We use it solely to reply to you and never share it with anyone else without your permission.

How we use it

• To reply to your message or enquiry.
• To process your clothing request, confirm the price and arrange payment and delivery.
• To let you know about fishing sessions or partnership opportunities you’ve asked about.

We rely on your consent (the tick box on each form) and, for clothing orders, on the steps needed to fulfil your order. We will never sell your information or add you to a mailing list without asking first.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where it’s needed to help you:

• Our clothing supplier, who receives the details needed to make and send your order (such as sizes, the name on the back and your delivery address).
• Our website host and email provider, who store the site and our emails securely on our behalf.

We may also share information if the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep general enquiries for up to 12 months after our last contact with you. We keep order records for up to 6 years for accounting purposes. After that, your information is deleted.

Cookies

This website only uses cookies that are needed for it to work properly. We don’t currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent first.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of these, email hello@differentcarpers.co.uk and we’ll respond within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
