Our Story

Different, not less. A clothing brand with a purpose that goes far beyond clothing.

Why I started Different Carpers

My name is Aidan, I’m 33 years old, and I’m the founder of Different Carpers.

I live with ADHD myself, so I understand first-hand some of the challenges that come with it, and how hard it can be to find the right understanding and support.

My reason for starting Different Carpers is also deeply personal. My six-year-old son is autistic, and my nine-year-old son has ADHD. Seeing the challenges they face, and knowing there still isn’t enough awareness, understanding and support for families affected by ADHD and autism, made me want to do something positive.

Where Different Carpers was born

Alongside a group of fellow carp anglers, many of whom have children, nephews, relatives or friends affected by ADHD and autism, we decided to bring our passion for carp angling together with a cause that means so much to us.

That is where Different Carpers was born.

Our aim is to bring the brand into the angling community and use it as a platform to raise awareness, start conversations and show support for people and families affected by ADHD and autism.

More than a logo

We want Different Carpers to represent more than just a logo or a piece of clothing. We want it to stand for individuality, acceptance, understanding and community, because being different should never mean being left behind.

Through the angling community, we hope to create a supportive environment where people can come together, share their experiences and know they are not alone.

Different Carpers has come from my own family, my own experiences and the experiences of the people around me. It’s a brand with a personal story, a genuine purpose and a commitment to making a difference.
